I like how it’s heavy and hold good on the kidI bought a size 4 karate-do gi from my dojo, and unfortunately, that came with a size 4 belt which is way too small. I asked if they had a size 6 and the guy at the dojo said he'll take care of me and then trades out for a size 7, which is too big for my taste. Instead of trying to go back and forth trying to get a size 6, I figured I'd just order it online. This one seemed to be well reviewed so I went with it.I have been using this one for a couple of months now and like the way it feels, it has a nice substantial feel to it and is much thicker than the one I got. I removed the FUJI tag that came with it, although that left a bit of red dye on the belt from where it was, although it's not too noticeable. The big issue that I have with this belt is that it unties too easily. Because it is thicker, it doesn't want to stay tied and will get loose after some physical activity. I find myself having to pull it tight every few minutes which can get a bit annoying. Otherwise, I like everything else about this belt and it does have a sturdy feel to it.The belt was far too small for me, although that was just my own error in ordering the wrong size. However, the color of the belt itself isn't green as I thought when I ordered, but rather a teal that's more on the green side. It's enough of a difference that when put next to a normal green belt it's obvious.Feels robust and excelent qualityThe belt is fine, but I must have gained weight since I last trained. Came in a little short when tied. My fault, not theirs.I am about 210 lbs and my original belt was a 5 and I had barely enough room to tie the knot. This size 6 leaves about 8" on each side after wrapping 2x and tying the traditional knot. Much more comfortable and I can even wear it a little looser than I could with the size 5, if I want to.Good quality belt.Well-made beltI use it for hamstring stretching. It is much easier to hook on a foot than a regular beltNice cotton rank belt. Size is accurate and the quality is good for the price.Long and flexible, ordered the Black belt for my boyfriend.
